If you have driven through Knoxville, you have seen the giant glowing JFG sign beside the interstate.

The JFG sign has been a part of Knoxville’s identity since 1926, and JFG was a famous Knoxville-based coffee brand in the 1950s.

On Monday (October 2nd) the sign was taken down and people are wondering where it went and why it was taken down.

Unfortunately, the property owner where the sign was located sold the property and the buyer told them to take it down.

The future for the sign is unknown, but we are hoping it stays in Knoxville and its history!
