On Wednesday (March 15), country music star Miranda Lambert announced she is parting ways with Sony Music, the record label that has released every one of her major-label albums since the beginning of her career.
Lambert expressed gratitude for her label, but is looking for a new challenge and creative perspective.
She has released nine albums with Sony and first signed with Epic Records – a division of Sony – in September 2003. She is not yet revealing what her next label destination might be.
