Carrie Underwood surprised her fans on her 40th birthday with a new song, “Out of That Truck.”
The song was released at midnight on Friday (March 10). She posted a video of herself in the studio recording the vocals for the song with a very tricky line.
“That messed up tape deck’s still stuck playin’ that mix I made for you,” is the first verse line, but Underwood mumbles something else, laughing at herself.
“That. That is the hard line,” she says to the producer. “Hardest line I’ve ever had to sing.” The song is about a truck haunts an ex-lover. “Well, it was inevitable, I guess,” said Underwood laughing. “I knew someday I’d have a truck song that I wasn’t, uh, I wasn’t wreckin’ it.”
