According to Variety, Reba McEntire, Kelly Clarkson, Chance the Rapper, Blake Shelton, and Niall Horan will all be mentors on The Voice season 23.
The season will be somewhat of a family reunion for Clarkson and McEntire. Kelly divorced Reba’s stepson Brandon Blackstock in 2020, which was formalized in 2022.
McEntire makes her “Voice” debut on March 6th.
The new season will also come with other changes like the introduction of an all-new Playoff Pass. This will allow both contenders in a battle to advance and give the winner a major advantage of being able to skip the Knockout Rounds, getting them one step closer to the live shows.
Each coach will have one Playoff Pass and one Steal. Only seven contestants per team will advance. Six will compete in the Knockouts and one using the Playoff Pass. The format will be as follows: the Battles (which start March 27), the Knockouts and the Playoffs (starting May 1), and the live shows (which commence May 15).
Do you think Reba McEntire should take over after Blake Shelton leaves?
