A woman in Tennessee claims the thrilling Tennessee Volunteers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide game last weekend was the reason she gave birth. Jordan Johnson, the Volunteers supporter, stated that while watching her team defeat Alabama from her Chattanooga home, she started to experience contractions at 38 weeks pregnant but was not paying enough attention to recognize what was happening. Going into labor at 38 weeks is normal, but the Chattanooga native believes she thinks her yelling, jumping, and cheering throughout the game caused labor that night. Johnson gave birth to her third child, Heidi Chase, who is named after Tennessee kicker Chase McGrath.
