The most Googled phobia of 2020 is “anthropophobia,” better known as the fear of people.
Over the past 10 months it’s made up 22% of all nationwide searches which is five times more than last year and it was the top searched phobia in 11 states. The spike in searches is definitely a result of the coronavirus and states like Indiana, Minnesota, and Missouri must be afraid of being alone because this was another popular search for them.
