Jelly Roll has been… on a roll… as he soars his way to the top in country music.
On June 25th he went on Jimmy Kimmel live!
JR says when he was younger his mother and him connected through music.
So when JR was in prison music truly served as an escape for him.
JR recalls that coming up with lyrics was the easy part, but he had to think outside of the box to come up with the melodies and beats as they didn’t have access to instruments.
He show Jimmy how he came up with the sound of the songs he wrote in jail by creating a beat on the table.
After the fans and Jimmy himself were amazed by JR creating a song in a split second, JR began to talk about his upcoming album.
JR teased that NEW music will be coming THIS fall!
