Morgan Wallen posted on Facebook on 1/25/24 with a very vulnerable and honest post.

He writes that in 2014 he went down to Florida to try and start his music career.

While Wallen was in Florida he managed to get a recording deal with a local investor and an artist management deal.

Wallen being young and ready to start his music career, he signed both deals without any legal representation.

Wallen and his new business partners made 13 songs.

Wallen clarifies that there were others working on the songs and many of them was NOT his idea or fit his standards.

The group deemed 5 worthy-enough songs to make the Stand Alone EP which includes Wallen’s hit “Spin You Around.”

Wallen then goes on to share that on the night of 1/25/23 those colleagues he worked with almost 10 years ago planned to release a “10th Anniversary” edition of Stand Alone AGAINST Wallen’s wishes!

Wallen says he has been trying to months to figure out how to get the rights to this old music and help ensure that the quality of his catalog is consistent with the songs he chooses to release.

He shares that this is a dark side of the music industry that no one really talks about.

He wanted to make sure that all his fans know that this is NOT his new music!

Wallen shares that he will start recording for his new project at the end of February.

In response to this whole mess Wallen not only posted on Facebook, but he also re-recorded “Spin You Around” in Nashville. He did the artwork for the re-recording of “Spin You Around.”

Wallen also promised that in response to this that he is donating $100k from the Morgan Wallen Foundation to the Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals For The Arts (VLPA) program.
