Jelly Roll is always doing good things within the community.

One of the big things Jelly Roll takes part in is helping at risk youth and troubled teens.

JR promised to open up a music studio inside the Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center in Nashville.

JR says music saved his life and helped him change, so he is hoping it can do the same for others too.

For the grand opening of the studio in the detention center JR partnered up with the Beat of Life Organization to host a “Redemption Songs” event.

Many artists and political figures in Nashville came out to support JR’s event at the detention center, which made him quite emotional.
