Jason Aldean is known to be outspoken and honest with his opinions, faith, and political views and we respect him for that.

We all know and love his “Try That In A Small Town” song that he released last year.

But there were a few others who did not like the song and especially the music video for it.

Unfortunately, too many people made too many comments about the music video, so CMT removed it from their rotation.

Now a year later we are still playing it on the radio, it hit #1 and we still love it and Jason Aldean!

According to Whiskey Riff, CMT announced that Jason will be performing at this year’s CMT Awards which is Sunday April 7th.

CMT nominated Jason for ‘Video of the Year’ with his hit song “Let Your Boys Be Country.”

We’re hoping he performs “Try That In A Small Town!”

Moral of the story is it seems Jason isn’t holding any grudges against CMT and he never said a negative thing about them.

So go Jason and keep being you!
