So we all know about the big split between the hit band Florida Georgia Line, with Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley.
Tyler Hubbard was the main vocals for the band while Brian Kelley did sing along too, he stayed in the background more.
Unfortunately, the big fallout happened right around the time of the last election.
It became pretty clear that the split was caused from the difference of politics between the two.
Tyler unfollowed Brian on social media and even admitting politics was the reason why.
Last week, Kelley started teasing new music and he posted a teaser video on Instagram with the caption saying, “Volume Up. Airin’ out the past.”
The same video also included this ominous voiceover:
“I’ve been quiet, and I took the high road. The truth is, I have a deep wound. After crankin’ some Hank, drinkin’ some Jack, I have some truth to share.”
Along with that, Kelley posted another teaser video on his social media saying this:
“My mental health coach told me a couple years ago as I was navigating through an extremely difficult, hurtful, and confusing time, “the person with the highest emotional intelligence has the highest responsibility.”
So as hard as it was in those moments to take the high road, I took her advice and I sat back and “ate my popcorn.” Everyone processes differently. I went inward. And it all came out in a song. Now it’s time for y’all to get your popcorn”
So Kelley drops a behind-the-song explanation of how it came to be, along with the details of his upcoming solo album titled ‘Tennessee Truth.’
So Kelley’s song “Kiss My Boots” is supposed to be the most personal song.
“It’s a song about relationship, it’s a song about betrayal and it’s a song about getting my power back, and saying how I feel, saying what I think and owning that in a song… They’ll do you dirty, play the victim and then convince people that it’s you. If you’ve ever felt this way, stream “Kiss My Boots.”
So, if you watched the video, then you are probably thinking the same thing we are… How did they have anything to do with Hubbard?
The only thing we can find in the video that even relates to Hubbard is at the end when Kelley is carving a peach… and peaches are from Georgia where Hubbard is from.
