A couple of weeks ago we shared with you a tweet from Zach Bryan responding to Tyler Childers sharing he scores his first-ever charting song on mainstream radio.
Then Zach Bryan decided to tweet a followup tweet taking a dig at mainstream radio and Walker Hayes.
Here is what the tweet from Zach Bryan said:
“Imagine being radio (whoever the hell that is), hearing ‘Shake the Frost’ and being like ‘no no let’s go with the Applebees song.”
A fan replied to Zach Bryan’s tweet saying, “You’re not wrong but don’t do Walker dirty like that. Another great song writer.”
Bryan was quick to respond saying, “not insulting anyone! Meant it with humor not malice, different strokes different folks was just bent about the first ever on mainstream radio thing my bad.”
Walker Hayes finally catches wind of Zach Bryan’s dig at him on Twitter (X) and replies to Bryan’s tweet saying, “Big shout to radio for playing dat Applebees song. Zach and Tyler praying y’alls continued success.”
We thought that would be the end of the whole mess, but Walker Hayes posted a video on Instagram saying he “had a hundred smart ass responses in the chamber” but decided not to say them.
Instead Hayes decided to make a song in response to Zach Bryan taking a dig at him!
