Walker Hayes and his daughters Loxley and Everly stopped by the “Today” show yesterday to perform as a trio.
They sang a new song, “If Father Time Had a Daughter,” and as they got ready to sing, co-hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb asked Hayes about the meaning of the song.
“It’s about my little girls growing up. I talk a big game about raising these youngins like, you raise them so they’ll leave. But now that as mine get older, I’m thinking, ‘Hey wait up a second! Slow it down.”
