Jelly Roll might just be the embodiment of the modern “outlaw country” movement; a man who’s spent time behind bars and lived a rough life of drugs and crime just to come out triumphant on the other side.
So you’d think he’d have a working knowledge of the original “outlaw country” – and you’d be right.
Jelly’s wife Bunnie XO caught a holiday session of family karaoke on video, which she posted to Tik Tok.
In the clip, Jelly (surrounded by family members) grabs ahold of the Hank Williams Jr. classic “Family Tradition” and shows he knows the classics – and also makes us think a classic country covers album from JR wouldn’t be a bad thing.
By the way, Bunnie shows she has an appreciation for the OG “outlaw country” as well, commenting on the video, “It’s our family anthem.”
