Deer hunting season makes Parker McCollum happy. So happy, he structured his tour itinerary around it this year so he could be in the woods when the season started.
“I’ll be in the deer stand every day. I literally end my tour at the end of October so I can hunt [in] November and December. I mean, I grew up hunting so much as a kid. It’s just something I’m passionate about,” Parker told ABC Audio.
McCollum enjoys shooting deer, but that’s not his focus. Parker says hunting season is thrilling but also a chance to settle down, “which is a hard thing to do nowadays.”
“It’s something I crave. So I look forward to that,” says Parker, who will begin headlining the Burn It Down Tour in January after slowing down for hunting and the holidays.
