Wynonna and Jelly Roll kicked off the CMA Awards Wednesday night with “Need A Favor,” and while the performance was straight fire, fans were concerned.
Wynonna came out slowly and once she joined JR center stage, clutched his arm and held on tight for the duration of the song.
Fans were wondering if there was something wrong with the legend.
Wy herself took to social media to address the issue yesterday.
“Ok, so they say ‘don’t read the comments’…I’ve read the comments! And, uh, I’m just going to come clean with y’all. I was so FREAKING nervous. I got out there, and I looked at Jelly Roll, I wanted it to be so good for him, and I could cry right now, but I’m not going to because I’m such a fan of his. He asked me to sing, and I said absolutely, and I got out there. I was so nervous that I just held on for dear life. And that’s the bottom line.”
