This past weekend marks a year since Lainey Wilson released her breakthrough album “Bell Bottom Country,” and to mark the occasion, the singer released some behind-the-scenes footage of when she was getting ready to go into the studio and cut the landmark album.

In a clip captioned “April 18, 2022,” Lainey is seen curling her hair as she narrates as if she’s gazing into a crystal ball:

“Today is the day we go into the studio to record my record ‘Bell Bottom Country’ …it’s gonna be life changing, I’m manifesting it right now.”

From there we see the entire recording process, from laying down vocal tracks to the band playing their parts through to the album’s completion. It’s a fascinating document to a pivotal moment in country music and in Lainey’s life.

Fast forward nearly a year and a half, and the album produced two #1 hits (“Heart Like A Truck” and “Watermelon Moonshine”) and became exactly the record and the career inflection point Lainey had spoken into existence.
