You can’t say an old dog can’t learn new tricks. Chase Rice taught his dog “Jack” stage presence.

The country singer performed at Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Canada, and sang his favorite song, “Bench Seat.” Rice emphasized the song’s significance and shared a statement in January. “Bench Seat” is a single from Rice’s album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell.

Rice explains the inspiration for “Bench Seat” was his buddy who was suicidal, and the only thing that stopped him from ending his life was his dog came and rested his head in his lap; the connection saved him.

Rice started a conversation about mental health with the song. He showed off his dog Jack in a music video and on social media. Rice performed “Bench Seat” in Canada with his best friend by his side. Fans loved how well-behaved Jack, his dog, was on stage.
