On Tuesday, May 22nd, First Baptist Alcoa opened as the newest location for the Boys and Girls Club of Blount County.
The B&G’s club of Blount County used to be in Fort Craig Elementary School, but they packed up after 11 years of being there and now are in First Baptist Alcoa.
“That location served us well for many years, but BGCTNV spent a lot of money to maintain a building that was only a lease,” a spokesperson for Boys and Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley said.
The club expects to serve 120 members!
With this new location, staff for the Boys and Girls Club of Blount County are so excited to begin as there is a need for a club in Blount County, especially Alcoa.
