Dolly Parton named Chris Stapleton, her favorite duet partner on her upcoming rock album, shocking him.
The country legend collaborates with rock stars on ‘Rockstar,’ including Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Stevie Nicks, and Elton John. Stapleton and Parton perform Bob Seger’s “Night Moves.”
“It’s wild. She’s so wonderful to talk to; she’s so sweet all the time. She’s one of those calls where it’s like, ‘Whatever you want me to do.'” Stapleton told Entertainment Tonight about getting the call from Dolly for the album.
After being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the 77-year-old superstar pledged to release a rock album, and the star-studded album is scheduled to be released on November 17. Dolly debuted the first single, “World On Fire,” at the ACMs on Thursday (May 11).
