American Idol featured many Bonnie Raitt songs on Sunday night (April 30.)
Megan Danielle covered Raitt’s “Angel From Montgomery” for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Night. Danielle worked with Adam Lambert to perfect her performance before taking the stage.
Lambert suggested Danielle switch to a more traditional song version to evoke stronger emotions. He wanted Danielle to enhance her vocals with more power and gravitas by “taking it to church.”
Luke Bryan hugged the judges and looked very happy after the song ended. He sat down and said, “I’m a mess.”
