Vol fans, football season is creeping up on us and we couldn’t be more excited to see how the team performs in the Orange And White game.
The Volunteers haven’t announced who with be the quarterback for this year’s team yet. So, fans are eager to see who will snag the quarterback spot in the scrimmage today.
Nico Iamaleava and Joe Milton III are the two who are battling for the first-string spot for the quarterback position. Milton has been a perfect mentor to Nico as the two have bonded in spring practice. This will be the first-time fans get to see how Nico performs and see what all Milton has improved on.
If you are a true Vol fan you know the least amount of production last season came from the defensive backs. We watched the pass defense consistently be exposed.
But this season we have a transfer from BYU, Gabe Jeudy-Lally. In this first spring scrimmage this year it was said that the defense outplayed the offense.
We also had some transfers for our offensive line, Andrej Karic from Texas and John Campbell Jr. from Miami. They both are expected to start on the O-line.
Standing beside them on the offensive line will be Cooper Mays, Javontez Spraggins, and Gerald Mincey.
