Lainey Wilson is blazing her own path in country music.
Wilson’s a talent that many fans are just getting to know, but apparently the singer-songwriter’s skills go way back.
This week Wilson made an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and the two chatted about the first songs they ever wrote.
Clarkson said that hers was called “Baby Blue Eyes” and Wilson said hers was called “Lucky Me.”
Wilson then shared that she wrote her song during a sleepover with her friend. She says the two went to separate rooms to write songs.
“Let’s write a song and come back and share it with each other, said Wilson.”
Clarkson asked Wilson whose song ended up being better.
Wilson replied, “I mean, one ended up being a songwriter and one didn’t.”
Kelly asked Wilson if she remembers the song, so Wilson started singing it for her.
