Thomas Rhett gave fans a sneak peek of his upcoming seventh studio album by saying, “Hands down, this is the best music I’ve ever worked on.”
The 32-year-old country music star says he is in the “whittling down” phase of the album. He has between 100 and 150 songs to choose from and hopes to release the finished product by the end of the year or early 2024.
Also, while in the United Kingdom, Rhett talked about U.K. country artists “The Shires.” He praised their music and discussed working with them soon.
“There have been a couple of opportunities for me to write with The Shires, and they come to Nashville quite a bit, and we’re obviously in London quite a bit, but we haven’t been able to lock down a date… The next time that they are in Nashville, I think we’re going to try and get together and write a few days.”
