On Friday (February 24), the first anniversary of the start of the Ukraine war, Brad Paisley will release a brand-new song titled “Same Here,” in which the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, proudly speaks about the virtues of his nation and people.

The song is the first from Paisley’s upcoming album, “Son of the Mountains,” which will be released by Universal Music Group Nashville later this year.

Even though it doesn’t say anything about Ukraine, the song ends with a video call conversation between Paisley and Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy discusses Ukrainians’ desire for freedom, adding, “There is no distance between our two countries in such values.”

Paisley will give the song’s royalties to United24 to help build homes for thousands of Ukrainians who had to leave their homes because of the war.
