Over the weekend, Morgan Evans performed a new song at the CMC Rocks QLD festival in Australia, his home country. The song is about his recent breakup and divorce from Kelsea Ballerini. While playing the piano, he sang about being blindsided about his relationship ending. In the lyrics he asks “How long has it been over for you?” He also adds, “It would be easier if I hated you/ But I still miss the person that I thought I knew.” To wrap up his performance, he lowered his head on the piano, wiped away a tear, and gave the crowd a small smile.
This performance comes after Kelsea Ballerini released her new album Subject to Change, which contains multiple references to the divorce, and changed some of her song lyrics at a recent concert to reflect the relationship status.
