Like so many things, dating changed in 2020 and Zoom dates became the new normal. Bumble has seen the changes and predicts the dating trends we’ll be seeing in 2021.

The top 5 trends are…

1. Hardballing – Which means “dating the like CEO” and not wasting your time with partners who aren’t serving you.
2. Astrolove – Looking for compatibility based on zodiac signs. The app even added an “astrology badge” feature for profiles.
3. Slow Dating – People who like to take their time to get to know each other before meeting up in person and tend to be more selective. These users may have a video date before actually going out.
4. More virtual dating – Almost half the app’s users prefer virtual first dates to meeting in person.
5. The ruse of “New Dawn Daters” – Those who end their long-term relationships during the pandemic and are now ready to get back out there.
