The coronavirus has had a huge impact on the hospitality industry, as many bars and restaurants have had to shut down, or only offer takeout and delivery to help with social distancing guidelines. Well, Samuel Adams is doing their part to help those workers who aren’t able to work due to COVID-19. They’ve teamed up with The Greg Hill Foundation to create the Restaurant Strong Fund, which will help employees from the service industry who are struggling right now with a $1,000 grant. Samuel Adams kicked it off by donating $2 million to start the fund, with almost another million being raised, bringing the current total to $2.7 million.
Sam Adams got its start 35+ years ago in the beloved bars and restaurants of Boston. We’ve partnered with @GHillFoundation to kickstart The Restaurant Strong Fund to help support hourly and tip-compensated restaurant workers in MA due to recent closures beyond their control. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/AHIq472bBb
